I have a 3 month old Welsummer Rooster named Wally. The neighbors really like him, he is absolutly a beautiful bird, and crows quieter than I expected. I barely hear him when he is outside and I am inside! Which is good because when I asked the neighbors if they had heard him, some of them said no! The ones that said they had heard him like the sound, and one old man said he's up at that time anyway...He is roosting on my fully covered front poorch at the moment, as we are having to make some unexpected repairs to his coop right now...so when he crows there it's loud...
It looks like we will probably be raising chicks this year rather than buying fully grown hens....we'll see!
I have to go to work now!
