Pearl vs Ideal 236 vs California vs ISA vs Shaver vs Hisex vs Dekalb vs Bovans vs Babcock vs Hi-line

I have had several Pearl White Leghorns, and they are great layers, typical leghorn behavior. Have also had the Babcock White Leghorn once that I know of from TSC and have gotten White Leghorns from TSC and our Southern States co op.
I will say that it prefer the Pearl White Leghorns, and the first group of Babcock Leghorns were pretty good, but there’s probably not a viable reason for the preference, as all birds are individuals and I’m just seeing a small sampling of 6-12 birds at a time.
For the record and off topic, but I’ve found something I like much better than White Leghorns for white eggs. They don’t lay as many eggs, but the Black Minorcas from Murray McMurray are much calmer and quiet birds. Now I don’t have to deal with a plume of wing flapping craziness every time I enter the coop.

I want a very good white egg layer breed as a cross with blue egg layers to get a higher production Blue egg layer. Seems every time you cross breed you either get a product that lays more or less than parent stock.
McMurray says the Pearl White is a strain not recommended for reproduction, but wondering if they'd be better than than non hybrid white Leghorns?
