Pecans for snacks

I have a lot of pecan trees around my home .I cracked a few pecans and gave them to my chickens and the loved em .Will pecans be ok for a snack?

HEY ! with no water this year in NC we have NO pecans, send them our way, 6.99 for 7oz. in Food Lion they have got to be kidding, I quess there will be no Pecan Pies this yr. for Turkey Day.
