Pecking or Molting?

I have 2 first time occurrences and I need a diagnosis or suggestions as to what these may be.

I have not noticed any pecking by the other chickens on the one's neck and they do not have mites but my girls are starting to molt.

Looks like a molt to me.

Yikes I have the same thing on one of my chickens. Same pattern on the chest there--exactly. She molted and began growing feathers back and then sort of stopped. She has that bare patch on her chest on two others, near a wing and on back. Sometimes the chest spot seems really red, then it turns pink. I have noted she is at bottom of pecking order (3 chickens) and I wonder if the others are pecking her.
