I’ll try getting a picture tomorrow, chooks currently roosting and would rather let the poor thing rest.
Basically I put this chook in with the others after it got old enough and while they’ve been picking on the poor thing for the past few months its been in there it’s always been able to get away I guess, the pen is big enough for everyone to say the least and they go after them even when they’re minding their own business on the other side of the pen, since they don’t let the kid eat, I’ve been sitting in there with a small amount of food every day to let it get atleast something in its crop.

Today I went into the house as usual to get them some food and found it had run behind the food barrel and somehow got stuck or cornered and there was blood all over it’s head, the door, barrel and floor, basically a crime scene. I didn’t see the worst wound at first and went to get some help with it just knowing it had afew feathers missing and blood everywhere, then noticed it had its ear cover ripped off, ear-hole way too big and ear lobe severely swollen to say the least, it’s easy to tell considering the side I first looked at was basically it’s normal features minus afew feathers, the person I got to help me took the kid and sprayed some antibacterial spray and I’ve just given them some food and water in a small pen we have to give the kid a safe place to be, when I put it in there the poor thing dould even walk properly so I assume they damaged it’s eardrum to a degree but it’s roosting on something right now so atleast it’s not ruptured, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put it back even when it heals unfortunately, the ear is still bleeding but looks a lot better.

The chicken I posted about before with the wack toe, even when limping would aggressively run after and attack this chook aswell.

I don’t really know if theres anything to help with other than if there is way to perhaps put it back when healed without this happening again, I’m not great at this stuff so I kind of put whatever I can think of here.

Some information as to how the chook grew up if that’s needed- I hatched it and it grew up with its siblings and afew guineafowl keets, it’s mother is a bantam and father unknown but almost certain it was a mix between a normal sized hen and a massive rooster, all of the siblings died of differing causes, and there were guineafowl keets cause guineafowl arent great parents and left them behind in the middle of the yard for anything to eat, so we gave them all to the bantam hen, *who the keets, even though almost fully grown still follow everywhere*.

I was going to wait till tomorrow but managed to get some picks today, the blue is the antibacterial spray, I forgot to take a picture of the less injured side.

Will look into nutri-drench, currently have her in a small pen we have spare for any secret egg stash accidents and such.
Might have to move the pen to somewhere the dog is less likely to go near though as she clearly dislikes him and he wants to investigate anything that exists ever, either that or maybe put something around it, possibly both.

Thank you for replying! I’ll be doing what I can.

Looks like the bleeding finally stopped last night, unfortunately the dog decided to try and dig into the pen so had to fill that up.
