i have a mixed flock of:
1 st white cochin
1 st black cochin(both are females)
1 cherry egger hen
1 EE rooster
2 EE hens
1 bantam ee hen
1 milli d'uncle hen
1 bantam cochin rooster
1 dominquer hen
and they all get along
but when i try to put new EE hens and a bantam cochin hen in the and the hens eat the feathers of of the new chickens it is manly the dominequer hen that messes with the new ones but they eat the chest and back feathers
how can i stop this i love my hen and do not want to sell her

Buff Hooligan has a good article on adding to the flock--if I can find it. It is very rare to be able to just throw new hens in, they usually need a period of 2-3 weeks when they can see each other, but not get at each other, or they will probably fight and it could get ugly (bloody). Keep those hens separated until you can trust them to not fight that hard. Free-ranging together seems to be a good start if you can do that.

there are also many posts about this in "Managing Your Flock" forum
