Pecking Order Question: Please View

I have a question about adding new birds to my flock. I have done this many times before, but plan on trying it differently this year. If I were to add more new birds than there are old birds to a flock would it help the pecking order in a positive way or a negative way? Secondly, if I took the new birds and the old birds and put them in an entirely new built coop would it help the process or do the complete opposite.

Not sure about the first one, but Ive seen the second one, everyone to a new area, suggested several times as an aid in integrating flocks.

Ok, thank you for replying. I am definitely going to try building a bigger coop and putting them all in a new area.
