Hello peeps, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here, but have been busy with adjusting to my new job and not enough time with my chickens. I shut them up and gather eggs every night. Hubby takes water and food when the feeders are empty.
Anyway, the past month or so maybe a little longer! I’ve been able to spend a lot more time with them on the weekends. They’ve been pecking each other. Some are bare backed along with the three roosters have all been pecked pretty good!! A couple of weeks ago I caught them and powdered them with DE.
Didn’t get a chance over this past weekend to get much time with them but did order them some toys for them, and was able to get them up on Sunday!!
At first I thought it was the ducks, but I’ve caught the girls pecking others and vise versa. We’re planning on rehoming the ducks here soon!
I’m just curious as to what you all think about what’s going on? I’m hoping the toys are helping with their boredom!!
