pecking order

how long does it usually take for a solid pecking order to be established. ive just fully introduced my orpington and wellsummer, to my 2 dominques and 3 cornish, and while there was some initial scuffle, everything seems to have settled down rather quickly, im still watching them through the window, but there doesnt seem to be much fighting. am i just really luckily that everyones getting along fine( becuase ive seen some horror stories on here) or is this just the calm before the storm???

I think I'm the one with the dumb luck.LOL! My BA had just hatched out 3 peeps when two hens were donated to my group. 3 days, two fights, and everyone was cool, calm, and a happy flock.

well im not sure if its a good thing or not, but the old two are up on thier roost as always, and the other 5 are huddled down with each ther in a corner, hopefully my new ones are just used to sleeping on the floor, instead of up in a tree like my old girls
