My mucky ducks must be hitting puberty. Until about 1 week ago they were friendly enough but wanted to keep their 5-10 ft distance from me in our animal yard. Then...one day they started following me around quacking...so I talked back....the next day they got real close and I started petting them....
NOW...they want to chase my feet and my stepdaughters feet. They aren't really hurting us...just going after our feet. If we bend down to pet them they stop or if we squirt them with the water hose (which they LOVE) they stop. We haven't been feeding them from the ground...and all their physical duck needs are being met. They hatched early march and they are both males (we have 2)...is this a phase? are they playing? are they being bratty? are they being mean? is there a correct way to correct this?
Anyone have ideas?
