Hello Everyone,
This site has helped me immensely already. I like it! I started with a Rhode Island Red and two Barred Rock. Every couple weeks I've brought more home. Half have been cornish rock, which we initially over fed them to ten pounds cause I kept looking looking at them each day to butcher as 'I'll do it tomorrow,' At eight weeks, one broke it's leg when I opened door it was behind, and that started the butchering experience rather quickly.
I now have original three at 15 weeks, what I believe to be three Amerucaunas at 13 weeks, two 6 week old bronzed turkeys, two silver laced wyandottes at five weeks, and four 2 Wk old Rhode Island reds. Olaf is our only confirmed rooster, surprisingly started crowing at 10 weeks.
I look forward to learning more from everyone. I will add some pictures soon.

So glad you could join our community!

Good to hear BYC has already been of such help to you. We sure are bursting at the seams with fun and knowledge!!

It sure is hard to go into a feed store and hear all those peeping babies and NOT bring some home. Ha!

Make yourself at home here and ask any questions you may have.

Enjoy your babies and welcome to our flock!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! It's so hard to resist the peeping!! I'm an incubating addict and once one hatch is done I'm already thinking about the next. Cute little chicks are really hard to resist!!
You have a lovely mixed flock there.

Wishing you the very best of luck with your expanding flock in the future.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow
