Hello! I have not had chickens since I was a young teen. In my 40s now and my father lives with me. He wanted chickens so we got 4 little orbington chicks. Two lavender and 2 buff. All female(20% chance of a male). Did a lot of studying and even went to a "chick chat" at our local feed store. I'm determined to give these little chicks the best life.

I found this site through google. Every time I googled a question about chickens. This site popped up. Figured I'd join since there looks to be lots of information here.

I'm in PA and own a cat. Chicks are in a room that she doesn't have access too. She knows they are in there but doesn't cry at the door.

Love these little chicks already! Only 3 days old and they are already friendly. Know my voice already and will eat out of my hand. <3 Names are Pecky, Bubbles, Noodle, and Ramen.

The water is now up on something ti keep it off the chips. First morning I woke up with chips all in the water so yeah... water is no longer on the chips. Haha

Happy to be here!

My lavender orpington, Poplar, is a sweetie! My buff orpington, Sheila, was not so much |: Poplar is so fluffy! Have you figured out names yet?
Neat that they have different personalities though. Even if one is a little stinker. My two lavender are Pecky(she lightly pecks my hand) and Bubbles. My two buff are Noodle and Ramen.
