Peeping chick but no movement.

Hi, my chick has been under a chicken for 21 days and is yet to hatch. It has peeped today but has now stopped moving and it has been 20 hrs. This morning I quickly looked under there and it was moving, now no movement at all...
What should I do?? I'm worried that I made the egg go cold...

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. I'd say leave it under momma for another couple of days or so. If she leaves the nest for good, you can be pretty sure that the chick has not made it. Hi

Glad you could join us here! I see you have posted in the incubating section, hope you got lots of help there. When chicks are getting ready to hatch they don't constantly move. They have periods of rest as hatching is a very tiring experience for them. Also 21 days is just a guide and they can sometimes take longer to hatch. For me as your egg is under a hen I would just leave it be and let nature take its course. Fingers crossed you have a fluffy little chick by now.
