I have a one year old pekin drake and he has had niacin deficiency for a long time. Since I was not able to get the supplies needed for him early on, his leg got worse and he couldn't walk. He had also fallen once and his legs got worse. Now, it has healed quite slowly. Is there any way to speed this process up?

What type of niacin supplements are you giving him?
Right now, I will give him some brewers yeast whenever his condition gets worse but I don’t feed it often because it is powder and he starts choking whenever he has it

Ah, okay. What I would do to administer that is to mix it with wet food, then he wouldn't choke.
In more severe cases of niacin deficiencies using Durvet High Level B Complex Injectable is recommended. Dosage is 1ml per day. So I would get some of that and try it out, it should help him a lot.

Right now, I wouldn’t consider it severe. Also, I have a hen too who drinks and eats most of the food I give them so he doesn’t consume most of it.
