My female duck she is 3 years old, in mid july or end of july made a nest. She has 5 or more in it. The nest is made of hay. We noticed that she sits on it at night, and lightly covers the top during the day. But uncovers it at night to sit on them. Just recently the past week she sits right at the entrance of the coop during the day. The nest is right in the coop there. Does anyone think they could be fertile and its getting close to hatching? Could they be good fertile eggs?

Is there a mature male around? If so they pretty much should be fertalised.
Ducks will lay usually one egg a day til they believe their nest is full enough, so is she still consistantly laying an egg a day? After a big enough nest a duck will sit on them full time while taking breaks once or twice a day every few days ect.
When my duck is currently filling up a nest she sits on them only at night if its cold.
If your duck has stopped laying, maybe its too hot/stuffy to sit on her cluth during the day?

Good luck
