I have a Pekin duck egg on its 29th day. I candled this morning and the air sac looked as though it had a dip in it but I didn’t see any beak. There is no external pip. Should I be worried and how many days do I wait before intervention. I know you shouldn’t do it unless you have no other choice.

We have internal pip

Can't really tell from the photo but the air cell seems a little small. You might want to drill a safety hole somewhere over the air cell so the duckling has air to breathe.

Good luck. Did you calibrate your thermometer ? Possibly temps were a little low and hatch is slightly delayed.
Everything was set correctly. He did not make it unfortunately.
I’m going to recheck all of the equipment and try again. I think you guys are right and my humidity was too high. The air sac wasn’t big enough. My gut was telling me to help last night but I didn’t want to be THAT Person that screws it up by meddling. I feel sick about it. I’ve lowered my humidity for the next ones. I have a chick due tomorrow. Small air sac also. I will help this one when the time is right.
I hate being new at this and making mistakes.
