Pekins bill not orange

Hi everyone, my Pekin is 9 weeks old and his voice has become which indicates to me that he is a boy and I'm delighted. My question is, will his bill become orange as it's still very pale pink. I searched the site and read that carrots and sweet potato can help and he's been enjoying these for a few days as treats but there's no change as yet. I would love to see some orange but he's very special as is, thanks

some pekin have orange beaks, some don’t! i have two pekin (both drakes) who are brothers, one has a bright orange beak and one has a pale beak. they are almost 3 and it’s always been like that. carrots won’t change it lol

Could it be you have a White layer since you say the bill is pale pink?

they only wear stuff (diapers, harnesses, coats, sweaters, necklaces, etc) when i can supervise them and whenever we go places i like to dress them up just for cuteness! they’ve been dressing up since 3 days old so are 100% used to it and don’t mind at all

x2 on @Miss Lydia's post...white ducks with pink bills are often Hybrid White Layers. I got a group of ducklings from a farm store a couple of years ago and discovered that not all the ducklings I thought were Pekins were actually Pekins - some were HWLs.

I love it my freinds kid always wants to dress my ducks up....I have some in the incubator that will hatch mid jan. I will have to keep in mind if they dont know better....they wont mind lol....I love it
