Could you use a people heat lamp for rasing baby chicks???? (like the ones at costco?)

Yes,
The bulbs are the same kind, just may be a different fixture.
Most of the poultry heat lamps have guards on them in the front to prevent them touching anything and usually have a clip to clip them onto something above the brooder or in a coop.

You can use them, but be sure to keep a thermometer in there, too. Also, make sure it's a HEAT lamp, amd not a SUN lamp!

Some of the "people lamps" use bulbs that get no warmer than 75 degrees... and that's too cold for chicks. use a thermometer and get the right bulb... you don't want to cook chicks and you don't want them dying from the cold.

Ah, be glad you don't hang out in the sun too much! It really ages the skin. I grew up sailing, and I am paying for it now with all sorts of interesting wrinkles!

But, no regrets! Just please, enjoy yourself as you are!

Well most people would consider me albino (I am sure it is misspelled), I have never had a tan and when it is garden season I keep Banana Boat in business!
