get a photocopy of your cancelled check from your bank showing that you put your account number on it--then put that with a written complaint to the TPUC and CC the company while your at it.

They can do the he said she said thing until there's a legal copy showing it was THEIR mistake.

This is why I do everything electronically that I can. I have an account set up with PG&E and it CAN"T get mis posted this way.

That is my next step. I've requested a copy of the cancelled check from my bank. Then I have to wait for the PUC to send me the correct papers to fill out to make a formal complaint. I just can't believe this company (Cap Rock Energy) can't stand up to their own mistake. Blaming it on me is the wrong thing to do. They probably think I'm gonna say okay-post my check to the wrong account--cut off my electricity--I'll file a complaint and be happy with the answer from the PUC. But they lied to the PUC. If they hadn't lied they would have been in trouble. Play like a big kid and tell the truth.
