So, I'm curious; am I the only one who's had strange reactions to eating eggs from shells that were not standard white or light brown eggs you could purchase at the store?
I get weird looks when I bring in my chicken's eggs hard boiled to eat for breakfast at work. I have one EE with beautiful mint-green eggs. I've had coworkers insist I must have dyed it. Or when you've tried to sell/give away a dozen? I was told once by another coworker that his wife and him loved the bacon and eggs they'd had, but that his wife wouldn't touch those mint green eggs. Because green...

So everybody out there with a colorful egg basket, the EEs, Amerucans, Marans, Welsummers... etc...

:idunno They've always been well received here, even with city people. For a while I was selling egg cartons with white, light brown, dark brown, green, and blue eggs in them.

Yes, my Husbands Mother and Father will not eat my eggs.
I get green, olive and standard colours.
Strange that people think it affects the egg?..Its just a shell colour. Also His Father argued with me years ago that I would not get eggs without a Rooster..:lau.
I don't like them much anyways so glad they won't eat my eggs.

My mom won’t touch any of my chickens eggs. Although she thinks the colors are pretty. The lady at work that I sell to loved the rainbow dozen of blue, green, olive, white and various browns I gave her.

20 some odd years ago my future ex in-laws commented on the pretty colored eggs my daughters chickens were laying.

Her younger sister, 4 at the time, explained in great detail how they came out of the chickens butt…

They never did accept any as gifts

LOL Because.... the store bought eggs aren't made that way... I guess. I've said it before, I'll say it again... more people than not have a disconnect over where their animal/meat products come from.

I've been lucky sharing the eggs nobody had said anything too bad. I've got one neighbor that i give my monster eggs to because they amaze her. I did have one fella return a single green egg because it had a poop streak, it wasn't poop it was just variation but i swapped it out anyways. :)
