Our beautiful just adopted dog who disappeared Wednesday morning is back-- thanks to putting up flyers everywhere. We did everything else too... going to the pound every day to look for her, calling around... etc. etc... it was the flyers that did the trick.

Now we have to figure out how to keep her home!

We lost one a month ago. DD decided to simply put her out of the house while we were gone. We had only had her 1 day.

DD hates all living things, and said she didn't want the dog in the house with her. We knew with the dog being so new, that she may just wander off.

I'm glad you got your dog back!!

Thanks! A neighbor found her when she scaled the wall into their yard... apparently she was trying to find home and only could remember that we had grass (not common here

She was excited to see us, which was nice to see with her that new.

Now we have to figure out how to keep her INSIDE the fence!

My bestfriend had the same problem with her dog going over the fence. She topped it with a french drain, but that only worked so long.

DH cut some 1 x 3/8 (i think) flat bar for her about 2&1/2 feet long each, bent slightly. He screwed it to her existing fence posts, and they slid chicken wire on it.
When it was finished, her yard looked like one you'd see at a jail, but it kept the dog in.

Good Luck!

A couple strands of hotwire on the existing fence does wonders! We had a German Shepherd that took it upon herself to jump the fence when we weren't home, we put one strand along the bottom of the fence and one around the top. She dropped her fence jumping cold and for good.
