Perch hight for Silkie Bantams?

Hi All,
I have a mix flock of chicks which include three Silkie Bantams. I've never owned Silkies and I've heard they can't fly much at all. How high should the perches be off the ground?

Silkies normally lay in a pile on the floor, but I've had some that roosted. Their roosts were about 18" high. But they normally just sleep in a pile

If I place a 2x4 on the ground, some of them will perch on it.

My 2 silkies just make a cosy nest in a corner on the floor and snuggle up together. They will find a different cosy spot each night. They never use the roost no matter how low I put it.
