Does everyone prefer box perches, v perches, or I saw some made out of a 2x4 with the corners chopped off. I attached a pic of an example of the 2x4 one. I have read that the box perches makes it easier to catch the birds but if you have show birds could damage the tail feathers. And the v perches are cheap online, but I could make a ton of the 2x4 ones out of scraps I have.

Thanks everyone, will end up going with the t perches or v perches. Do you stack the t perches on top of each other or do you offset them?

My Frillbacks seem to prefer the V-shaped perches to everything else.
Any I have a mixed aviary so there are multiple types of perches available.
They also occasionally perch on top of the big parakeet cage as its the highest spot they can hang much to the dismay of the parakeets below.....if you know what I mean

The V's. They keep the birds clean, their feet and stop them pooping on lower down birds.

When I used box perches or other kinds the birds would poop on the perch and then step in it, and when they walk about the coop they tramp the poop onto things.

Also find the V's lead to less fighting, as each birds claims its own perch. Other birds can't get on them as there is only room for one bird on each perch. The box type ones sometimes other birds try to get on them and they have a fight.
