Perfect Incubation Temperature and Humidity for Silkie Chickens

I've been incubating silkie eggs... at 99.5 (circulating fan)
but recently I've been noticing people incubating at 100 and 100.5 ...
Anyone out there with a reason for the change.....?

And is there any truth to higher temperatures create more roosters... haha..
I heard that rumor, and just wondering if there is any truth to it...!

I incubate at 99.5 in my Brinsea Mini Advance and get 50% hatch rate on shipped eggs (which is about ave.).

How many days do you incubate before you stop turning them and then how long after that before they hatch
