Performance Poultry?

Hey everyone. I've been wanting to order from Performance Poultry for a couple of years now but kept missing ordering season by a couple of days. This year it seems like they've changed their policy and you're now required to order a minimum of 5 chicks per breed, and you can't mix and match colors? Can someone confirm this for me? I don't remember reading anything of the sort last year. I know they've always had a minimum order number for each 'type" (bantams, standards, turkeys, ect) but not individual breeds. I had been planing on placing a small order o 1 or 2 Ameracauna hens and a mixture of couple different bantams but I certainly don't need 5 of each breed AND color :/

It's been years since i have bought from Jason, personally if you have any questions i would contact them... I would bet with all the AF last year and cancellation of many very prominent swaps birds are tougher to get this year, especially certain breeds, so that may have something to do with limits/policy changes ...

After doing a bit of wandering i would say, yes 5 for chicks.. 3 for ducks and i know their is another figure that i have forgotten for the poults and so forth...

Again though, contact Jason to get clarifications... they can be hard to get ahold of but are usually super helpful when you do. GL.

Thanks for your response. I will try e-mailing him and see what he says. I can understand having a minimum order for each type of chicks, but applying that to each breed and color seems a bit unreasonable. Maybe I can find someone who would be interested in doing a group order, otherwise I think I will have to pass on these guys for another year

I wouldn't recommend buying from them. AT ALL. I have never had such rude customer service in my life! Poor communication. Poor ordering system.
