I have a wonderful bottle of White Shoulders that has been sitting in the box in hallway closet for at least four years? and I have NO idea how long the perfume scent would stay good. I hardly used it except for special occasions. It has not been exposed in the kitchen or bathroom and the hallway closet is in the middle center of our house.

I have no idea of age yet however there are numbers on the bottom of the bottle 4AA2. Made in USA.

I just used it recently and still smells good.

So how long perfumes, cologne and lotions good for?

I was thinking about getting those travel bottles and not sure if they are still good or I would need to "refresh" the bottle every year due to the small amount that the scent would be gone in a much shorter time. It is somewhere between .25 to 1 oz bottle.

I don't think that there is an expiration date on perfume.

If it has not been exposed to light or a lot of heat it should be fine. I have a few scents I can handle wearing without my allergies killing me and I can only wear a little bit, so my perfume lasts forever. Of course now that I am not working putting perfume on to head to the barn ot take care of the Chickens and Pigs seems a bit silly. I have a bottle of White Shoulders that I bought at least 3 years ago, it still smells good.

Contact the company that makes it - they should know

I would be worried about rashes and such
