My chicken run is an L shaped yard around two sides of their coop, covered by mesh overhand to keep out predators, with a but larger area in front. It's pretty secure, but I wish now that I'd made it better. This summer I might enlarge it for them.

Your run sounds a lot like the one I used to have when we lived in FL.

One thing about having chickens, there's always another project to work on!

Yep, I'll just have to wait until I have the time and money to expand it. Maybe by summer I can get the materials.

Maybe recycling materials is an option? I've seen some wonderful coops and runs made from repurposed building materials. If you can find wooden pallets in your area, those can be good for turning into all sorts of things.

Yes, that's a possibility. What I'd mainly need is wiring, so I'll have to keep on the lookout for some.
