Here is where my two flocks of chickens call home. I know...they are spoiled to live in such a fancy abode. We inherited our farm from my husband's grandparents. His grandma raised chickens in the 50s. Of course, this coop was only white back then, but built to last. We did some minor repairs inside and spruced it up on the outside. It is very functional with 6 laying boxes and roosts made from small tree trunk posts all smoothed out and well-used. It has two separate runs.

Very pretty!

I would love to see more pictures too!

The first pic shows my 15-week old red pullet laying her 3rd egg so far. The second picture shows how I fenced off a portion of inside to segregate my new flock from the mean older hens. The last photo shows the plexiglass window we put in.

That's a great looking coop! I really like the kind you can walk into- a definite must for me. I don't think I would enjoy chickens so much if I had to crouch around inside a tiny coop.

COOP IS REALLY CUTE. I have a little question for you.one of my hens has started to lay too.egg #5 all of them have been small.since yours is egg#3.is your egg normal size or small ?just wandering.

I know your question wasn't to me, but our hens just started laying about a month ago and we still get all different sizes of eggs. None of them are consistent in size yet. We also have some that lay every other day.
