HI All

Two of our chickens have had persistent yellow diarrhea, we lost one yesterday and I'm now worried the 2nd one isn't getting better either (we previously lost another with similar symptoms about 6 months ago). They're seperated from the flock and been on Coxiprol for 2 weeks and I tried worming them but neither treatment has worked. Have cleaned out feeders and water regularly. I'm now at a total loss - any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

How old are the chickens? What dosage of the coxiprol did you use? Has it been wet in their run? What other symptoms have you seen? Coccidiosis usually causes runny poops, lethargy, standing around hunched or puffed up, and no appetite. What did you use for worming? Can you get them drinking water? Are they eating anything? Scrambled egg and wet chicken feed with a bit of yogurt or buttermilk can be good.

Thanks Eggcessive they're just over a year old still eating and drinking which is good. Gave them 4mls for 2litres water of coxiprol and aviverm wormer no other symptoms really. She still has red comb and eyes are bright. Vent isnt red just convered in poop. Washing it off every now and again but she is getting more lethargic. Next stage last one went through was fluffing up, barely moving and then going over food. It has been quite damp but theyre not in mud. Theyre still eating pellets didnt too they mash i lovingly made them though with pelkets and yoghurt will try the buttermilk and scrambled egg instead - thank you! Appreciate all the ideas!

I’m sorry to hear that :hugs Give it some time, and it should be good. Try to remove their dropping if you can.
