pest bothering chickens

my sister who is 14 loves to help me on the farm. This is great! But also stressful. The other day she put a full water on a chick and crushed it. Then I come home and find her walking one of my roosters with a makeshift harness thats tied to tight to his body and she had him in the air making him "dance". Needless to say I freaked out and told her that was extremely cruel and how would she feel having something tied around her chest so she couldn't breathe! Idk what to do with her. Complete lack of concern. I am so frustrated. Anybody else deal with teens doing odd stuff and killing their birds even if on accident.

Ok thank you! She's out of control. Mind you we were not raised together and I have no idea how she was raised but she has almost no concern for the treatment of animals..

What do I do? I am more then twice her age and I just can't comprehend why she is like this? How do I deal with her? She didn't even apologize for killing my chick but cried when the goat ate my garden.. how do plants mater more the. Animals?

I would talk to whoever raised her. It sounds almost like she has mental issues, maybe she is not even aware of. But I'm not a professional. As for your animals, maybe she can help clean them out or feed them if they aren't in any danger.

I agree. I have had people want to buy birds from me in the past and try to go into my pens. I told them no and explained that I didn't know where they had been and I didn't want anything introduced into my pens and my birds. I no longer sell birds on my property, now if I have some for sale I take them to a local farm swap. Good luck...
