Campbells and bantam ducks are always listed as great foragers. I have heard of Muscovies being GREAT for fly control. Which breeds in your experience are the best for this kind of thing?

Not personal experience, but I've read that Dutch Hookbills are considered the absolute best slug-ducks under the sun.

Any duck will eat bugs. Chickens are much better for fly control, because they scratch around and eat the fly larvae.

Ducks aren't so good with the house flies because the flies get above their reach. They will eat flies when they can catch them, but they aren't all that good at catching them. Ducks will really clean up grasshoppers, snails, and slugs, that's their specialty.
