My pet sitters came for a second visit yesterday, to make sure the animals where comfortable with them. I walked them through what to do with the chickens when I noticed that one of them was wearing sandels with nice pink toenails. I warned her that closed shoes would prevent toe pecking. Two seconds later she had a toe pecked!!!!!!!

Hahaa.. Just tonite I was in a hurry needing to get home from shopping and then get ready for going out to dinner with friends.. So silly me I thought I could just pop in the coop and feed wearing flip flops.... My painted toes were massacred by the hens.. they could care less about feed.. they wanted those toes.. My fault I knew better.. but it did give me a funny dinner story

It can be a lot of fun feeding a newbie to your chickens.
