Pet turkey behavior

Hello!!

I have a Male n female turkey.
Male= Blue Slate
Female= midget white


Male as a adult isn't that friendly...female usually is cuddly but lately they both puff up at me and chase me out of their pen...
Any ideas!??

Eat them? Welcome to BYC.

Is your hen possibly broody and guarding a nest. Some females can be pretty vicious during that time.

I wouldn't keep an aggressive Tom, so I don't know what you can do about it.

I love them

My female, Randa hasnt laid eggs in while but she does get broody still

You may need to carry a stick or broom when you go in by them to defend yourself.
