Pheasant chick color?

Here is a picture of one of the chicks - is it the appropriate color for black melanistic? That is the only thing that would make sense since the eggs were labeled "black mute"

All of the chicks were variations of this color combo with two of them being almost completely black. Ignore the little presant he left me

Either black or green,the chicks look the same until they color out.

They are kind of fun to watch - their behavior is different than chicken chicks. And their peeps are sooooo high pitched. Thank goodness they seem content and don't peep often
