I hatched 26 ringneck pheasants, they are 2 weeks and 3 days old. They are learning to fly already and are out growing the brooder that i have them in. How old can they be before I move them to a bigger outdoor pen? And how long will they need the heat lamp. If any can shed light on this question I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Rob Ewing

When brooding any game bird you should always brood them until they are fully feathered. If you stop the light too soon they'll feather faster but gain weight slower. Until they have all their feathers they aren't capable of retaining heat properly.
