I have heard that pheasants can transmit diseases to Chickens, and vice versa, and was worried about a wild male pheasant that I keep finding in my chicken run, and sometimes foraging closely behind my ladies when they freerange. Is this something I need to be concerned about, or only if I left them confined together?

I think it is something to be cautious about but not worried. Do you know where he is coming into the pen?

The danger is most likely to the pheasant. Chickens have an immunity to many things a pheasant does not.
