Hi BYC my wife and i are wanting to raise chickens for eggs. I've been looking for any information to see if it's legal here before putting up the cash and time. We live in phenix city Alabama in the city with a fully fenced in backyard. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I would call the city code enforcement officer's office for factual information. Some cities allow hens and some no chickens at all. I"m fortunate that I live just outside the city limits.

Hi, this member most likely won't see your message as they haven't been online here since Mar 24, 2013.

I would try your local and state poultry groups on Facebook. If you don't have an acct, just make one for the chicken groups. That's where I've had the best luck buying/selling.
