[Chocolate Silkie Queen]

I have a bunch of Phoenix chickens. I have BBRed and silvers and a couple mixed colors that came from BBReds. My rooster can be a possible father the the mixed colored and BBRed babies. I didn’t get all of them as my silvers are being raised by my silkie hen so they aren’t too friendly right now. I believe I missed one of the BBRed babies as well! I have more of my questions on the silvers as they just look a bit dark and they’re supposed to have Salmon chests but these look like they’re either getting grey or black? I bought these chicks from a breeder and should have made her show me the parents but she wasn’t very willing so I didn’t press the issue.

Thinking male has a super dark chest but could just be an inaccurate colored female still waiting on how this one grows.

Are my silvers growing out right? Am I crazy to think they’re dark? Please help me on how I can make my Phoenix babies more standard! These all came from breeders not a hatchery

They’re gorgeous I still have some waiting to go on mine they’re still growing in feathers. Any help with guessing genders on my BBRed and mixed colors?

From what I can tell/guess
1. Male
2. Female
3. Female
4. Color is interesting, hoping pullet based off of comb but color is making me hmm as far as potential male patterning
5-6. Female?
7. Looks like a boy!

Thank you that was my thoughts on them too! The mixed colors get to me. The lady I got them from said she had another chick hatch that same color and turned out female and she is gorgeous so I’m hoping it’s female but I’m keeping the males as well so either works! I have one more mixed color I’ll be getting pictures of either tomorrow depending when I get off or Friday. Hopefully when my silvers get to their age I’ll be able to get better pictures and not have to fight momma hen(silkie).
