Phoenix's???

Ihave a pair of Silver Pheonix....King and Princess. She will cry if I dont pick her up for some lovin right away when I go in. He will tollerate being held...but doesnt seem to enjoy it as much as she does. I love my Pheonix...such sweet birds.

Another thing to note is that in MY experience, Phoenix eggs are nearly impossible to kill. We've had a 100% hatch rate on ours (being fresh, not shipped of course) even when the Barred Rock eggs hang around 85% hatching.

And fdnick got all hers from ME! I specialize in longtails and they are for the most part AWESOME birds. Anyone that says they are flighty is not treating them with the respect they deserve. My oldest son uses our 4ft tailed male for his showmanship bird and can do ANYTHING with the "Iceman". Ours come in for regular house visits , blow dry and bathe and just hang out. I try not to handle any boys until they come of age. I let their true personalities come out first. They are all raised in the house with kids, dogs, and noise. Shows are just like any other day for them with lights and people and noise. If I had 1 breed to keep it would be the phoenix. Peeps if I can help you in any wya what so ever just drop me an e-mail. I know EVERYTHING about every bird Denna bought from me and then some. Happy hatching:D

mine are flighty. lol sorry napa. but i don't handle them at all. but when i do catch them, they complain for a second or two and then they're fine. they're sweet sweet birds and one of the silver hens recently hatched out five babies on her own.

i actually like them to be a bit flighty. they hate being confined in the pen and all the ones i hatched from you roost in a special spot they've reserved for themselves which is a bit vernerable to prey. so being flighty, i know they will be able to fly out of harms way.

they have no aggresiveness towards me or my son which is a great thing. and one of the silver ones looks like he'll become the next in line after my polish alpha boy.

napa, they're all beautiful and doing great. i plan on showing the silvers as a pair at the next poultry show in january.
