Picky eaters put to the test...

Wow, amazing isn't it? I know when my kids were little I did the same thing. Fixed something different if one of them didn't like what I had cooked. We wasted alot of food....sinful really.

Love it what i wouldnt give to have my kids "quartined" .. When I first took over care of them they would eat anything I gave them, as they hadnt had "Real" food at thier other home.. Now that we are living with my folks and there is always snacks or ice cream, I cant get them to eat anything new, and lord help me if they are asked to eat something healthy.... Maybe I can lie and tell them they were exposed to "cooties" that way I acan lock em up and feed em what I want... lol

lol, I must have grown up in quarentine and didn't know it!

We ate what was put in front of us ...and we liked it! ...there were no after eating snacks unless we had desert after dinner or a cookie after lunch. We had to try a little of everything... and if we went to someone's house, we were to eat what was served, and keep our mouths shut if we didn't like it. Although I have to admit, to this day, I hate liver, hotdogs, and PB and J sandwiches!

But, I didn't develope poor eating habbits either!

We basically were expected to eat what was fixed. If it was something new my Mom did not force us to eat it but we were expected to taste it. I will not eat tomatoes, it is a texture thing, I cook with them and anytime my mom made a dish with them, I just picked them out. My 2 step sons were picky eaters, their father was too. He and I had fights about it. Of course we are no longer married and that was part of it, he expected me to cater to his kids menus, even though both wanted different things.
