We bought a 12x10 (I think) from Sutherlands to start our Coop. It was on sell and we got a really good deal on it.
It has been a work in progress since I got my chicks on March 30th with very few weekends off.

Still chilly enough for a sweatshirt outside.

Walls going up. We did everything alittle oddly. When weather wouldn't premit us to work outside we worked in the barn and prefabbed the sidewalls and cut all the wood to length.

My husband put one door together while I worked on the other and for some reason I got the measurements off on the trim and when he put doors up he discovered my screw up and wanted to take my door off and fix it but I wouldn't let him, lol.

Today he put a window in the back so there's alittle more sun inside.

He also cut the pop door. Before I just opened the one front door and they came and went and at night I'd go out and shut the door but next week we are leaving to take our son to college and are gonna camp on the way home stopping in Branson, MO so will be gone for 4 days and I didn't want to leave the big door open. My BIL is over here all the time and will check on the chickens but I didn't want to ask him to come and close the door either so this was our alternative and this evening we had 4 hens and a rooster still out at dark making a ruckus but when the light went on, in they went so I think it will work out great and give me less to worry about while we are gone.

This is a grit feeder my DH made today (Idea taken from someone here on backyardchicken, thank you).
We have one for grit and one for calcium.

And last but not least, my temporary nest boxes. I have 5 in the coop. DH doesn't like them and as time permits he said he's replacing them with wooden one he's gonna make. They do the job and all eggs to date have been laid in them. Up until yesterday have only had 3 laying and yesterday got 5 with one being a rubber egg.

Hope you all enjoyed my photos and thank you for looking
