We just completed the cutest little coop and run this weekend!
The coop is 4x4, insulated, with plenty of ventilation and a 8Lx4wx3h run.
Just need to complete the inside - I want to put in the 4" PVC pipes for food and water.
Right now have a 1 gallon chicken nipple bucket hung inside and a 5lb feeder on the ground....
BUT - the big question is - where should I put the roost? and how high?? ( coop is 4' in front sloped to 3' in back)

and the handsome occupant!

The front has a 2/3 utility door on which I'd like to hang a 4" PVC gravity feeder.
The other 1/3 of the front will have 2 nesting boxes when the pullets get a bit older.
Across the top is a 10" vent with a door that can open and close.
The sides are solid wood - T-111, foam insulation, luan sheathing on the inside.
The back has a chicken door in the middle. It also has an 8" vent across the top.
