I just picked up some royal palms they are the prettiest turkey ever.

I will share some pics.

The black one in the middle of the picture is a hen believe it or not. I watched her lay an egg. She was my yearly broody.

I got 3 royal palm turkeys from the hatchery! They are a week old. I will post pictures soon! Do you know how to tell if they are toms or hens at the age of mine? Yours are BEAUTIFUL

2 weeks ago i started collecting eggs from my turkey hen to put in the bator. They are hatching today though. I didn't think she was setting, she was off the nest with her tom every day. But she must have been. Nothing hatches 2 weeks early.

So far i have 3 black slate babies to add to my 1 royal palm and 6 burbon red babies.

I am still a little puzzled about them hatching so early. She would lay an egg and i would stick it in.

Sadly i don't know if there is a way. Some people try something called feather sexing on chicks (chickens) that are a few days old. Don't know if it works on turkeys though. I'm not really worried enough about witch ones witch. If it is a hen it lays eggs and if it is a tom it goes poof.
