I went to Will Marrow's to get a few culls and peachicks to ckeck in and I came home with 13 new birds. One poor Dellie laid an egg inside the box and I think she just couldn't take the exertion and heat of the box and she sadly didn't make it but other then that all the birds are great I got: 3 Black Copper Marans pullets, 2 Wellsummer Hens, 1 Wellsummer Pullet, 2 Black Ameraucana Pullets, and 3 Delaware Pullets (one didn't make it

) Those are the ones I got from will I got two young pullets from Kathleen one Exchequer Leghorn and one Wheaten Ameraucana I was very tempted to get a wheaten Marans but my mom told me I already had to many

My goal was to get most of the egg colors available and I think now with my little exchequer I may have completed most of my mission

Thanks I added the new birds because I lost most of my flock to a racoon or weasel attack while I was away but now were back up at capacity

Nice looking new birds, Henry. And cute coop too! I didn't know you had lost birds to predators. Must've missed that. Things move so fast here now. Do you not have your Faverolles anymore?

I don't have any faverolles now

One passed away of natural caused and the other was attacked by the fox when she was broody and died.

I am excited about these new birds I got a wellie egg and its beautiful and spotted almost like a huge song bird egg !

So far today Ive got three eggs from the new girls making this a summer record of 5 eggs today because I did only have three birds before

But two delaware and one Welsummer egg so far but it looks like the birds are itching to lay even this late.
