He is a Black East Indie - limps off and on. I have tried to soak it in warm Epson salt, he was freaking out so it was only for a minute. I put on Vetrimycin (sp?) and tried a baggy and vet wrap. Ended poorly. Would love to find a duck bootie and have searched everywhere to buy one. They are more like a corn and I can't realty see a scab.
Opinions?? PLEASE and THANKS!

Doesn't look like Bumble, I had a hen that got something similar and after trying all kinds of things I ended up using the human corn remover you dab it on very cheap, just make sure it's only on the callous part . and dry before you put him down. It took a couple months before hers finally went away but it did. This stuff contain Salicylic acid. I have used it many times for a callous.

Thanks SO much. That's what I thought too. I have some of the corn remover and thanks for the Etsy link, wonder why it wouldn't come up in my search . Of course "Duck Bootie" gets you tons of baby clothes responses.

I am ordering the booties right away to have it and will get on the corn remover today. Do you agree that there are two to treat?

THANKS AGAIN!

We thought about a sprain too. I will treat the bumps and do the warm bath. He is super clumsy, so maybe he did hurt it.

THANKS!!!

Could be a sprain but I can tell ya from experience some of those hard callouses can hurt too, See how they look in a week of treatment. the one closest to nail looks to be the worse.
