We call her mama since her first time she went broody but we have not let her go again because we have no rooster. This time a friend at work gave me some eggs {we hope are fertile} and so I brought them home and I of course had to pick her up out of the nest so I could get it all cleaned up and put the eggs in it. Well she went out and messed in the yard with the other gals and about an hour or so later she headed back to the nest.Now picture this. She stood in front of the nest on a beam and looked into it and I swear you could see the joy in her. She looked from side to side and than hopped up in there and got herself all settled down on her eggs. It was so cool to see her reaction. If it had been a human you would have thought I had given them a million dollars.
