Does anyone have pictures of their 'Ameraucanas' or Buckeyes that you got from Meyer hatchery? I'd like to see any you may have of full grown birds. Thank you!

You've got to remember that they don't actually sell Ameraucanas.

I would put bets on that their Easter Eggers look a lot like Ideal's or Cackle's. Most Easter Eggers look the same, and carry a limited color variation of partridge-like hens, splashy duckwing or BBR roosters, with the possibility of a silver or blue-buff hen as well.

I got some of their EEs and Wyandottes last year, they were bantams though.I got some cross beaks and some runts.Might have been just my bad luck.I've heard good things about Meyer on here, but I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

I believe both of these hens are from Meyer. The one with the leg band is definitely from Meyer.

Mine are nicely balanced, good sized, great laying hens. They are quiet and have done well confined to the coop and run, and also free ranging during the day. They are never any trouble with other chickens, neither getting picked on nor picking on others. I also have Buckeye from Ideal and I will mention I really cannot tell them apart easily from the Meyer birds except the Meyer birds are one year older.

My eight Buckeye hens lay five or six eggs every day. The younger birds just started this spring. The three older birds layed well all winter. I have not weighed the eggs but they lay a larger egg than my Speckled Sussex and Faverolles, and maybe a slightly smaller egg than some of the Black Australorps.
