It's a very naughty bird! Yes, it goes after my OEGB's, chicks, ducklings, pigeons, and the small songbirds. :mad:
:( I was hawk free for years, Serama's got let out every day. Then my big dog died this summer and things changed. Little dog stays with me because he's lonely, so all the neighborhood quail come in the yard now. I love the quail, but they brought the hawk in. Lost 2 Serama's before I realized it was here to stay.
 
We have an abundance of the little pests - and some are brave, like yours, and will watch me from a branch while I do chicken chores. I haven't had an losses to them, but they sure seem to enjoy "buzzing" the flock; sending everyone scurrying to the nearest bushes. Our killer is the red-tailed hawk. We've lost a couple to them. They seem to know when we have youngsters free ranging with the bigger birds. :(
