I always wonder how a standard OEG Hen and Rooster look compare to the bantam size! Also roosters who haven't been dubb yet for standard size !

They have a slightly more game bird like appearance than the bantams, at least from the pictures I have seen, and look a little longer and leaner.

This is my OEG bantam. His comb is small because of frostbite

This is a "Black Standard OEG" from Cackle. More than likely more American Game than OEG. There are a few people with the real deal OEG in this country but very few. Most of them are in the UK and Australia. There are other places on the internet that you should be able to find lots of pictures of OEG.

I know this is an old thread. I acquired a trio of standard a few years ago, given to me and quarantined. The little rooster was sick, both hens very bony and underweight. All 3 have always been human social, adore them. Hens will brood and are great moms! After good vet advice and a lot of work I still have them. I have kept American game and they are super tiny in comparison.. OEGB also. All 3 are great broody breeds. I do not show and will not dub. Roosters have a beautiful straight comb, be wary of frostbite.
