Pigeon chased buzzard

Dovie (my feral pigeon) finally started going on day trips. She leaves at 8 am and returns at 3:40 pm everyday. When she comes home she circles the house for about 10 minutes. Today she was circling and I saw 2 large black birds that I think were black buzzards in the sky... she went straight at them and it looked like she made physical contact and ran them off! Is this possible???

Sometimes little birds drive off predators. I've seen little sparrows chase off hawks.

I was stunned. I had no idea they are that fearless.
